Music is so important to your preworkout, during your workout, and after your workout.
Studies show that music has a direct influence towards a persons personality, focus, and emotional intact which are all key factors when you are working out. 
(Of course personality is taken into account and some people find some of the music a nuisance but everyone has their own music to vibe to.)

Tips About music relating to your workout.

1)  Adrenaline boosting music is key to listen to during your pre workout stretching and loosening up and during your workout.
2) Build up songs such as dubstep or up-beat house electro with a smooth or hard drop can help you focus and build adrenaline for full exertion and hard burstfull starts.
3) Having a great pair of headphones such as bose or beats that exert music very loudly are almost essential for maximum influence.
4) Having a set playlist with all songs that you feel will boost your focus and endurance is essential you do not want to be changing the song in the middle of a workout.
